The Challenge
A digital marketing consultancy needed its own website rebuilt to function as a genuine lead-generation and credibility tool across four service lines, with a CMS the client could manage without ongoing admin overhead. The relationship then extended to the client’s sister venture, an independent hotel management company: its own site, plus a run of individual hotel websites across its portfolio, each requiring direct design scoping with the hotel itself even though the parent company held the overarching account relationship.
The Outcome
Delivered a defined multi-site body of work across a two-year relationship spanning an agency client and a hospitality management client’s full portfolio. The hospitality company’s own site remains live years on, structurally unchanged. The five hotel sites have since been redesigned or replaced by their respective owners, a natural end-of-life outcome rather than a shortfall, so they aren’t separately catalogued here.
The Approach
For the agency client, ran a formal discovery-to-launch process: translated explicit business needs (lead-generation targets per service line) and target-audience needs into an information architecture, validated with an interactive, no-design prototype before any visual work began, then designed, built on WordPress, and tested pre-launch, with SEO fundamentals, analytics, and lead-capture built in from the outset rather than bolted on after. Applied the same direct-delivery approach to the hospitality client’s own site and, working directly with each hotel on design scoping, to five individual hotel websites: Heywood House Hotel (Liverpool), Pelham House Hotel, Sketchley Grange, Lismoyne Hotel, and Lythe Hill. At Sketchley Grange, extended into conversion rate optimisation, testing booking-widget layout and placement on the VWO platform.
